Anyone have an update on the island? I’m hearing they had some really bad winds and flooding this afternoon.

The Book of Faces is full of flooding videos and damaged camps. One of the grocery stores lost the front façade. A trailer flipped on the toll bridge from wind, lots of campers flipped on the side.

My camper is down there at Fin Addicts I hope it made it. I won’t be able to check until next week but hopefully someone will go there in the next couple of days.

Few reports of 120 MPH winds offshore, also a rumor that a liftboat Seacor Power flipped with 18 on board.

Worse than a hurricane everyone is saying. Cars flooded, campers flipped, more water than I have ever had at my camp. Lost a couple golf carts. Shrimp boats on land turned over etc.

Sounds like the water came up almost like a tsunami. Literally in minutes.

Can’t imagine being out there in those conditions especially if you were expecting 30mph and got gusts towards100. Hoping the best for the baws unaccounted for

Not good
Water came up in our camp more than any hurricane this past season (from what I’m told)
It exited out quickly though
Lots of wind damage everywhere

Damn

How the hell do 115 mph winds just happen without a hurricane or tornado?

There are reports of a life capsule in the general area. Hopefully the rest of the crew is inside and “well”

Should be fine, have to pressure wash downstairs(the party area) from the water
But that’s fairly easy
I’ll know more tomorrow for sure
