Drake pintail for me. They are not common where I hunt. The first one I shoot will be mounted, if he isn't damaged.

Greengreen heads are always nice. A drake widgeon in full plumage is one of my favorites

Redhead. Beautiful duck. I shot one in the first split, but messed up his beak.

I would like to kill a banded sprig. Killed tons of pintails and few bands, never killed a banded sprig. One hunt back in the day (first year with a homeade mojo) we killed our 36 in about 30 minutes. We all unloaded and were drinking beer watching the ducks swarm into the dekes and had one light right in front of us. Nobody could get loaded in time to break the law.

Nicely colored Mallard/Pintail hybrid is at the top of my list

Always wanted to shoot a Brewer's duck, and was able to check that off the list last year. It was sitting on my barrel when it got shot, so it got messed up a little.

Drake Pintail and a Canvasback. I lost a can a few years ago & haven't had a chance to hunt them since.

Will trade any of you all the pintail drakes the law will allow for a chance at a Cinnamon Teal Drake, full plumage Blue Wing Drake, OR....the top of my list..a Harlequin Duck. Pretty sure they are only in Alaska and British Columbia, and you can kill like 3 per year.

A wigeon drake in full plume is one that l still haven't been able to get.

I'd really like to get a sprig, and a reply good looking grey for the wall.

I shot a Cinnamon teal when I was real young at Angelina Plantation, but it was all shot up and I didn't know how rare they were neither did my dad so it didn't get mounted.

Drake pintail and canvas back

I have only hung two things on my wall and both were black ducks.

A Drake pintail and a canvas back would be the other two

First duck I ever shot was a full plumage drake pintail. (Last day of the season when I was 9.) He's mounted and I have my banded speck from this year at the taxidermist now but before I killed it that would have been the answer to your question. Had a huge full plumage widgeon and a pintail that measured 27" from tip to tip both get lost in the freezer when it went out.

As for what I'd like to kill, that would have to be a cinnamon teal. I want a mount with all three full plumage drake teal standing on a piece of drift wood.
