I think this is exactly the calculus Trump is banking on. He knows that 95% of gun owners realize these things are nothing but a novelty and serve no legit purpose.

The problem is that he is giving an inch to these bastards and we all know what is going to happen next.

Everyone is not you and it's not called the bill of needs. You can't build something up and tear it down at the same time. One way or the other.

I think lots of things are a waste of time and money. Doesn't mean I get to tell people not to own them. This is a shitty way to think. It's the same thinking of people in favor of NSA spying (if I have nothing to hide, I have nothing to worry about mentality). It's lazy and gives government unnecessary power.

I also find it hilarious how many Trump supporters are ok with this because it is Trump. If this was Obama or Hillary you all would be fighting this tooth and nail and saying it is treason. Stop supporting people and start supporting liberty. This is not a move towards liberty.

well thats why i said me, and not everyone. I own close to 100guns, 3 ar15s, Have several thousand rounds of ammo, and really could care less about a bump stock. I dont want any changes at all, but with the way things are going, and the amount of pressure on this topic trump knows he has to do something, and doing this will seem like he is taking measures to help the issue, while not pissing off gun owners "for the most part"

well enjoy holding onto that inch while you can. Because changes are comming, while maybe not during trumps term... its comming. And it will be much more than a little bump stock ban. That is the world we live in now, so i suggest get whatever you want now, put them up, and hold onto them.

giving on one change always greases the slide to the next change that you may give more shite on.

I am curious to the wording of a ban that would allow that to happen. It does not meet the definition of a machine gun, it is one pull of the trigger, one bullet.

I've said this before, you don't gain any credit because you own a small or large number of guns, because you hunt, because you enjoy target shooting, because you're a LEO/MIL, or because you're an oper8tor. If you are for restrictions you are against the very primciple of 2A.

I agree with you. And, it's because of people like you giving in. Eventually they will get thier way. Today they have you in favor of banning a silly accessory which will have no effect on mass shootings. Tomorrow they will have you against the next thing until there is nothing left.

Yea, a bumpstock is something I give zero fricks about ever owning. It blows my mind how people are willing to just give up a right to anything though. If i decide i want one damnit i wanna be able to go get one. I'm not a fricking pysco killer. Go get the frickers that are insane.

This is 100% correct. I think Trump is throwing a political bone here because his die-hards will go along with it. I'm not sure what to think on this one. I'm against giving them an inch, but if you were ever to make a concession, this might be the one.
