Has anyone heard of a issue where the transmission seems to slip and buck while driving? I have the 5.3L engine. The truck sat for a while so I'm not sure if it could be a fuel related issue or if I should just bite the bullet and bring her in to the dealer?

Yeah there is a ton of problems with them. Mine was doing it and they first claimed the transmission shift module needed to be reprogrammed. After reprograming it they then said it was shorting out they then changed it.
So far sos good, buddies truck was doing it and they claimed that it didn’t have the Mobil transmission fluid they changed it and it does not do it. Supposedly the trucks after mid year 2019 have all been adressed with the fluid issue and get Mobil from the factory. If you google it there is a class action lawsuit regarding the

My torque converter failed in 2016 Silverado and I had to replace the transmission last year. Every transmission shop I called said it is a very common issue and Chevy should issue a recall but the cost would be enormous to GM. It was a tough pill to swallow for a $4000 transmission for a 3 year old truck.

Yep, my wife’s Traverse had it go out as well. It was high mileage so we traded it.

It sat for about a month.

Thanks for all the responses, I'll call the dealer to see about changing the fluids.

Torque converter. Should have been a recall.

Brought mine in to see if they would do anything under warranty.
Nope. It's a 'bulletin" and it's normal.
Gonna end up dumping this truck before warranty expires.

The 10L80 is a joint product, not the 8L.
