I'll captain a militia, Teal Team 6.
Lieutenant General Bourg, I'm placing you in charge of recruiting, I strongly advise you to push for Choirboy and or Jsmoke. This will be a no bs unit, and failure will be tolerated

You're ditching me for Jim Beam?

Oh, and don't be hating on shooting Spoonies. They call me the Spoonie Killer.

In fact, I'm starting my own team right now. Team Spoonie

As previously posted, i am against blackjacks and spoonbills being included..... No better yhan a coot, imo. But, if yall decide u wanna include them, they should be worth less than edible ducks.....

Pics need to be posted with your kill for verification.

BANDED: if u really are gonna give half the pot to the 1st band taken, you need to verify the kill by the certification the hunter recieves from the banding organization. (for those that may/may not know: when a banded duck is harvested, its your responsibility to call in the band # to the appropriate banding agency. They will take your hunting information (what state killed, time, date, etc) and mail you some information about the bird (if hatched, where banded, when, etc). Once the hunter gets this info.... A provided copy can authorize payment....... Otherwise, 1st band killed is easily manipulated.

There is a significantly less number of ducks banded now than in years past....

And this contest absolutely needs to start NOV 10

Well how about this. We run the contest from november 10th - jan 27th. The 1st team to produce a certificate for a banded bird killed in that time frame wins the band jackpot. Pic of banded bird with username & date of kill are required as well as a copy of the banding certificate.

It's up to you guys, but if the majority feels like the band jackpot would be too easy to manipulate, we can just do away with that & go with points for the whole thing.

I'm fine either way, I just don't wanna hold the money. I work offshore, sometimes I have internet & sometimes I don't.

I bet you I could mix them in with a mallard, cook em the same way, and you wouldn't be able to tell a difference.

Its the only species that offers a challenge when targeting flight ducks. Where I hunt we don't kill many ducks that are living in our ponds. We try to kill ducks that most don't even call to. When you look high into the sky and can see nothing but wing flashes those are the ducks we try to kill. If you ever brak a group of 40-50 from 3000 ft. they will finish all the way to the dekes.

OP has been updated with special contidions of banded bird kills.

Make up your teams, post your team name & members. I will update the OP accordingly.

We still need a paypal account to send entry fees to.

Forebay and we picked up some on the other side that has timber and fields. Hunted it with a friend last year, didn't do too well but in the afternoons the mallards poured into that forebay at dusk.
