This. And free market capitalism.

This is what happens when the incoming administration indicates that they are going to take your guns and ammo, it is expected that they will wield heavy executive order powers, and they have the Congress to back it up.

Dude
Some people have a reason to buy ammo. Some have a reason to buy a lot of it. Some people live in high risk areas. Some live in nowhere’s villa and will never be confronted.

What I’m Irritated at is the mindset of the latter who refuses to accept that they’re never going to be throwing down yet they go out and horde ammo which keeps those who need it from getting it.

So, only the people that "need" it should be able to buy it?

How very democratic of you.

You are a joke dude.

thats a high horse you ride

as stated, people in danger aren't the only people buying ammo. i wouldnt be surprised at ALL if the new administration made ammo more difficult to get, even without regulating guns.

Taxes, extreme regulation on manufacturing, etc will all make ammo a HUGE commodity with long wait times and big price tags. People are stocking up before that happens. And it WILL happen at some point.

its not hard to understand. you want everyone to stop at 500 rounds? 1000? very communistic of you.

Where is the news of these shootouts?

We get it, you are mad you can't go to the store and buy ammo like you use to. Silver lining, in my opinion, is new gun ownership is at an all time high. The over whelming majority of those buyers are first time gun buyers. Another caveat would be the 2nd hand market should be booming after this admin is gone as well. I think this is a good thing and will even strengthen the people's belief in the 2nd Amendment even more. Yea, rough on the pocket book now, but you have the choice to buy or not buy
I get it though. I went to shoot the other day at the range and between rounds/range fee I was out roughly $120-$130 (at todays ammo prices) for roughly 45-60min of shooting.

You do realize there were 8 million new gun buyers last year. If they only purchased 100 rds of ammo each that is 800 million rounds. Stop criticizing your fellow gun owners for exercising capitalism and their constitutional rights. You have yourself to blame for not having yourself stocked up.

fricking hoarders piss me off.

I have couple buddies like this, we argue about all the time.
I found 3 boxes of 7mag bullets the other day at some shite hardwares store, I bought all three.
I use that rifle to deer hunt abs that’s it ... I may shoot 5-6–7-8 times a year.
I was down to half box going into season so I didn’t realize the shortage till about October...

I won’t buy bullets again for that gun for long time.

Seriously, if you are not looking for the ammo they are buying, why do the shopping habits of others bother you so much?

You bought 60 rounds of deer hunting ammo? Sounds like maybe you have become a hoarder.

So this will last you 7-12 years? Seems like you bought an awful lot for someone who dislikes hoarders.

Then you don't pay attention to 2A issues very closely.

That's what you say now but since you have become a hoarder, you will probably buy more the first chance you get.

All of you mad at the hoarders need to chill out and let it go. Maybe you are more mad at yourself for being behind the curve on this than actually mad at the hoarders?

Well, I can understand being frustrated at not being able to find what you like, and feel you might need. That's an understandable reaction.

But come on, people started getting nervous about things last February, and began grumbling about prices rising and availability dropping in May. We're nearly a year into this now. Don't get mad at other folks if you slept late on things.

When I was reading his post I was expecting him to say, "I found three boxes and only bought one, so two other guys could get a box."

No he's a hoarder just like the rest of us.

i did that back in november and am kicking myself for it.

got to academy and waited in line about 30 min, they had some 750 round tins of steel 9mm. I bought 2 instead of 3 to give other people a chance to get 1. feel dumb as shite now.
