Keep your eyes open, ladies and gentlemen. 6 months later, there's still a "push" for gun control with "widespread American support."

Just as things got quiet. I guess that was the calm before the storm?

I think this is going to go on for far longer than people think. I see more of a paradigm shift in ammo use/ownership right now.

BEFORE: Manufacture - Storage (at store) - Purchase - Use

NOW: Manufacture - Purchase - Storage (at home) - Use

In the past, we kept a little ammo at home, but for the most part, we dropped by the store and bought a couple boxes before going out shooting. We used the stores for storage.

Now people want ammo stored at their home, meaning it must be purchased first. Until most americans get their "stockpile," I don't this shortage is going to abate.

With Midterms coming up, and the bitch slap they just took when they thought they could actually pull it off, I don't think the Dems will touch this again with a ten foot pole till that election cycle is over. And probably not even after that because this is going to cost them seats. They aren't completely stupid. They just forget this lesson every twenty years or so.

I think you are right. While things are calming down in a lot of the calibers, .22 still flies off the shelf. I think people will reach a point where they are satisfied they have enough stacked in their closets and the market will fill up again, but we may be a few months away from that. There are signs that .223, .45, and 9mm are hanging around a lot longer, and .308 has pretty much flooded the stores for a while now.

Nope, I wish but it isn't. Slowing, yes. Over? No.

Meh, link was NBC, they are at the forefront for progressive scare tactics and general BS.
It's not over, but it is slowing down significantly. Went to Cabelas earlier and there was a ton of ammo on the shelves although no .223.
