I've had 3 Raptors and just bought a RHO back in March. So far so good and the RHO is faster and nicer interior than the Raptor for $10k less

That’s exactly what I’ve gleaned from YouTube reviews. RHO is cheaper and faster. If the hurricane engine is reliable then I think the RHO is the better value.

I’ve wanted a Raptor for so long it’d be weird to not finally get one but an extra 90hp for $10k less is hard to resist. Plus the Ram looks great.

My friend has a new 2500 and that thing is plush as hell inside. I love it

RHO is a great value proposition. Order one from Mark Dodge and you can get a well equipped (level 1) RHO for $72k that has tons of features and power that the $82k raptor does not offer. It’s a no brainer and a fantastic truck

I would be very wary of a suped up v6, the motor hasn't been around long enough to test reliability/durability.

When I heard Ram was bringing back the 5.7 I was pretty sure that was going to be my next truck. Now that I see though it will only be available in the E torque I guess I will just have to stick to a Ford 5.0.

Yeah I’m worried about long term reliability bc it seems all manufacturers have had issues when rolling out new turbo truck engines. FWIW the Hurricane is an inline 6 and I think it’s been in the Grand Wagoneer for a while already. But 540 hp from 3.0L seems ridiculous.

The etorque had been problematic? I thought it sounded good on paper when I first read about it. Are you able to disable the auto stop if the truck has etorque? That’s a deal breaker if I can’t turn off that “feature”

If you look on YouTube the tuners are really excited about the HO Hurricane. Most are stating either just a tune the stock internals will easily handle 750HP.

I’m not sure if that changes anyone’s opinions but it’s a very stout engine.

Yes, with a button, but you have to press every time. The best way around it for me is, the feature is disabled any time there is cabin cooling, cabin heating, or tow mode. That's nearly all my drives.

Just bought one from Mark Dodge yesterday. All over text and email. They are delivering it today or tomorrow after it gets a spray in bedliner. Delivery is free. Got 19k off MSRP and it was an easy painless experience.

The truck is a Big Horn Night Edition, and the Night Editions come with Level 2 equipment group. It has the 3.0 SST 420HP, panoramic sunroof, 12" center screen, Alpine sound, digital gauge cluster, adaptive cruise with stop and go, blind spot, land departure, cross path detection, 33 gal tank etc. Real nice

That dealership is the only reason I have a dodge. So easy to deal with.

Not that I’ve heard, historically Toyota has been pretty secretive about that stuff tho. I understand the love of their V8, but I sure wouldn’t bet against their turbo V6 being a fantastic engine.

Not to steal the thread but I’m looking at a Ford or Ram half ton and like the Ram with the 3.0l I6 hurricane engine. And to me the discounts are great and 2025 Ram just got ranked #1 (for now) in JD Powers reliability survey. Ford was down low. And Ram so say gives you more luxury for the buck than others.

So Iam leaning to Ram 1500 after owning an F250 6.4 deisel for years. I too ask the same question.

As per JD powers reliability survey the 2025 tundra is not well rated.
