Spring break deep sea ultimate locations scenario help!

My brother in law wants to take his son on an offshore/deep sea fishing excursion for something large. We do plenty of snapper and reef fishing here locally. They want some trophy fish! The bigger the better.
Lets say you could fly anywhere in North America late march to go trophy fishing... where would you go?
Cabo? Key Largo? Bahamas? Costa Rica?

For tuna, I would go no farther than Venice.
For billfish, I would go to Los Suenos in Costa Rica.
Obviously, for your dollar, you are going to have a much better shot at a lifetime fish in Venice.

If the weather is decent you can find tuna out of Venice 52 weeks a year. But March is a windy month. You might have to be flexible with your dates

I assuming a March spring break? That’s a tough month. Striped marlin in Cabo should be ok. March is going to be the tail end of marlin in Panama and the very beginning of the season in the Bahamas. Sails should be showing up in Mexico and Costa Rica about that time.
Who knows what the weather patterns will bring but it would be hard to pass on a week at Tropic Star Lodge in Panama and a chance at a big black or blue.

April 15 last year fishing at Los Suenos We boated a 40 lb mahi, brought to the boat 5 marlin and 3 sail fish. Great trip.

Thats the tail end of prime Blue Marlin season on the FADs is Casa De Campo or Cap Cana in DR. Could very easily have a 5+ day of big blues, which are way more fun than whites.

Costa Rica is badass, and more affordable than you think. The cool part is the fish are just a few miles off the coast.

Costa Rica is awesome, but it's the most expensive in Central America. Great for so much other stuff, aside from the fishing, too though.

I'm probably going to go to Costa Rica to fish next March.
I turn the big 5-0 then and my wife wants to plan a trip for us to go anywhere I want. The bad Parr is that it coincides with a lot of Spring Breaks.

1 - C.R. - tons to do, shots at sails, small blues, and dorado.
2 - Cabo - same as C.R. other stuff to do and shots at stripe marlin and big dorado.
3 - Venice - March could be windy and make conditions brutal, but shots at big tuna and maybe a marlin.

Panama would be on my list. They got it all going on. March is primetime there.
