AP83 honestly only happened once to me on a threee wheeler in cane fields my dad had. Kids put a knife to my throat for riding on "thier property".. It was actually owned by another farmer family friend. I just let it go, after blowing off some steam. All this over a duck.. crazy.

Guy still hasn't turned up. He's of the age that he probably decided to commit hari kari. It's the least he can do.

A Facebook link on the other linked thread suggest there are 2 warrants issued and the US Marshals are involved so he is likely still alive.

My guess is that he capped himself into the lake. They have his boat and his shotgun. But he's Catfish bait. Or one can only hope.

If he made it out alive and the stories are true that he’s a wealthy man and that it was an ambush, they’ll never find him. It’s very possible he’s had this whole thing planned for weeks, including escape, and is sitting on an island or somewhere in Mexico.

If he's alive, the US Marshals will find him. Eric Rudolph lived under the radar in the woods for years. He was a young, determined, hard core survivalist.

This 70 year old man ain't going anywhere.

This could turn out to be very much like the westwego case from 20 years ago

They’ve found his boat and his gun. I’m just saying. Some of these old codgers are crafty. Not like I’m pulling for the fricker, but considering how remote the location is (30-45 min emergency response time), lack of cell signal, the man had plenty of time to get away. If in good shape and he had it planned, he could have literally been 3-4 hours away by the time they figured out who the hell they were looking for.

You think Reelfoot is remote?

I don’t know the location. Based on the local message board about the topic, emergency help is 30-45 minutes away, and cell service isn’t strong enough for a person to hold a phone conversation.

Based on that alone, it’s possible the guy could have strolled out of there in front of everyone on the lake, and no one would have even known he killed 2 people for quite a while.

ETA: took them over 24 hours just to find his boat.

Possible ambush, but all speculation

One of the accounts said that the third baw whacked him in the head with a boat paddle. If true, it’s a reasonable possibility that the old man drowned.

True, but I wonder where all of these accounts are coming from? There are only 2 survivors. One is missing, and one is critical in the hospital, right?
