Ranchhand bumper durability and ability to ram another vehicle

So I got cut off and proceeded to take a verbal arse whipping from a some ol boy in a Yukon AT4 today because he felt like I should have not waited to see if the oncoming cars without blinkers were going to turn or not and I held him up behind me at the stop sign for about 22secs.
After he did a tactical maneuver and parked it in front of me and cussed me as I patiently sat in my truck with my hand on my ccw waiting for him to move I started pondering my actions and possible future actions
.
I didn’t engage him didn’t provoke him (blow horn or roll window down)
So he’s 5-7 ft in front of my truck and cars at passing in the adjacent lanes so if he continues to walk up to me and attack me and my vehicle I understand stand your ground laws but what about me ramming his vehicle and pushing it enough to clear the area and then drive off or then engage with my ccw.
Will a ranch hand bumper withstand a full on push without folding into my front end and wrecking the radiator?

Probably not. Just do what you did.
If he comes to your door and makes a threatening move, shoot him until he’s not moving.
When the cops show up, say this: I was afraid for my life and I stopped the threat.
Ol’ boy tried that once with me. I had my infant son with me. He blocks me in a parking spot. I set my son in the car, grabbed my gun and made sure he saw it. I yelled at him thing if his foot touched the ground it would be the last time.
Talked to police about it later and they were surprised I didn’t shoot him after he blocked me in.

Just guessing..but if you start pushing him with your truck…he probably would’ve had every right to use his weapon on you.
Sounds like you did everything right.
But I’d probably want to ram the shite out of him too.

The issue isn't the bumper. The issue is the accordion looking metal on the front of your frame designed to crumple in an accident.
If you have a winch, and ever intend to actually use it, you should let a competent welder fishplate those areas.
Usually the first change I make to a vehicle is a winch bumper. I learned about 4 vehicles ago about the potential stretching/compression of a stock frame.
Beware even more if your factory frame isn't fully boxed. Welded with an overlap boxed is likely the strongest, you just don't see that in most American vehicles after the late 80s. Japs still do it on most non unibodies.

Yeah that was the plan, but was just thinking that in the same scenario if I was to have a true bumper would they hold up to pushing a vehicle out the way.
I know I can pull with a strap a flooded minivan out from under a carport and sideways into the yard with a z71.

I T boned an impala that pulled out in front of me going 35 mph 3 months ago. My bumper pushed back into my grill barely enough to crack it. Bumper was bent and had to be replaced. Her insurance company paid for a new grill but I could have easily kept it as it wasn’t bad. I was really surprised that thing is tough as shite. I had the Summit series.
The ranch hand was back ordered for 3 months so I went with a Warn HD ascent. It doesn’t have the grill guard but very strong bumper and I added a winch which I didn’t have with the RH.

I was planning to run for office, it seemed prudent to ask and delete a few months of posts. So I'd fall out of the recent posts.
Life happened. Didn't run. Stuck with dumb name now.

I put a ranch hand summit series on my truck last week. I don’t plan on hitting anything, but that thing looks like it would take a beating. I put it on there mostly for the looks

Ranch hand summit. Her Impala was totaled. All her air bags went off. Unless you looked at my truck from the side you really couldn’t tell I had been in a wreck.

I have a Legend grille guard on my truck . I got it for deer but the dang things always run into the side of the truck instead of getting a ranch hand to the face.

You should get a buckstop outback if you plan on hitting things THAT significant

In high school my buddy had a run down brick farm house on their land and to show off to the girls with us, we drove his duramax with a ranch hand steel bumper and cattle guard through the brick wall into the living room. Then set the house on fire and drove out the other side
Didn’t hurt the truck. Hope this helps
