I haven't been squirrel hunting in 15 years and probably never will again. I hate to fish because I hate cleaning fish. I wish I made more time to sit in a stand but always find an "excuse" not to go. I guess having 3 daughters is making me soft over the years.

I do pledge to make more of an effort to get my youngest daughter (3) into the outdoors and camping/backpacking/hunting.

That's low. I might have done it but I would have told the guy after a few minutes.

Me and this ole boy had created a culture of pranking each other, so i didnt feel bad.

He got me back pretty good though. He dumped 500 crickets into my truck one night.

Smelled like crickets arse for 6 months. They chirped in my truck for a year. lol

If they're outside cats, set up a bird feeder and bird bath with some cover nearby. Might change your mind. Watching them hunt and snatch shite is pretty cool.

The outside one is lazy as frick. He doesn't do shite other than sleep and eat.

I wish I would have gotten rid of the thing before I had kids that fell in love with it. I really can't stand the thought of how upset they will be when the thing finally dies.

When my wife got the cat I told her I would never feed it. I held my ground for a long time. Last weekend they were gone and the damn thing sat at her food bowl and howled for an hour during the night before I got my half-drunk behind out of bed and poured some food in the bowl. I threw her out several times prior, but she just kept coming back in (I cut a hole in the floor of my closet so she can come in an out as she pleases). In retrospect I could have put a suitcase over the hole and locked her out, so I'll have to remember that for next time.

Well, i let a buddy of mine fish with a hookless h&h for about 2 hours one day. After he was on the verge of slitting his wrist after missing 4 or 5 fish, i finally had to tell him

At that point, you should have put it on upside-down and let him proceed to get hung up on everything.

Outdoor Board Confessions

I love to kill fowl but really don't like eating them much. I can usually make it through Teal Season and 1rst Split but by the end of the season I try to pawn off my birds to my buddies.

This is my confession. I enjoy the hunt, but anyone can gladly take all of the birds home if they want.

I don't even mind cleaning them but I will resort to a wide range of tactics to keep from taking my limit.

Like a doggy door, but more redneck. It's in the corner, and high enough off the ground where only a cat could jump in. Only one possum in 7 years we've been living there.
