its the right gun but had a wrong valve screwed into it. It had a quick release steam instead of the brass threaded valve. Simpson is shipping me new gun.

That made me laugh. My wife has a lifelong lady friend who for years would go to clothing stores, buy a real nice dress for an event, wear it to the event and then return it for a full refund a couple days later.
I'll never understand people that damn cheap to do shite like that.

Did you purchase with a citi card, venture card, or Amex?
You may have a warranty.
If not, just bring it back to the store and ask to return it, if they refuse, dispute the charge. Take a picture of it sitting there at the counter. And leave it there.

No, no you aren't. Again, that's not how warranty work works these days. All of this shite is tracked, stores can't get a refund or return something that was purchased awhile ago.
At what freaking point OP do you think you can just return something? You are being an idiot here quite frankly. So if I own a lawn mower for 2 years you think I can just replace it with a return? You've had it for over 2 months lol. I mean 6 months and you can just bring it in and get a refund? There's gotta be a time limit and your time limit was 30 days.
Things like pressure washers and chain saws stores are very strict on because so many people go and buy them, use them for a day, and then return them. So they don't allow a return with use, you have to file a warranty claim.
