Brand new out the box pressure washer, bad pump no pressurized water what so ever. They won't issue a replacement due to past 30 days of purchase. I even had the wrong gun included in box which the local store did NOTHING for me to help get me a replacment on the gun even with the item sitting on the shelf and they can order the replacement from manufacturer. Called the 800 number this morning and they won't even budge on a replacement neither cause past 30 days. Not a doubt in my mind i walk into Sams/Walmart/Lowes/Homedepot and walk out with a complete replacement immediately when the damn thing out the box doesn't work.

Now i get to drive 30 miles to bring it to manufacturers authorized service provider.

You didn't try it out right when you bought it? I mean sometimes I'll go a week or so, but I always make sure things work pretty quickly in case I need to return it. It has happened a few times with larger purchases, so I at least take it out of the box and make sure it functions.

i received the thing on Dec. 2. So winter time and was busy those weekends with other shite. I assembled it and put the oil in it but no, didn't start it. The thought never occurs to me that an out the box machine like that would completely not work.

Does it look like it was purchased and returned before you? Was the seal on the box tampered with?

No, appeared all new out the box when purchased. Part of why i wasn't worried about it. Honda motor started up great, just no pressure at all.

THEY SUCK! I knew a guy had a brand arse new weedeater from them- couldn’t make it start. Wouldn’t start.

He brings it back and they say “Sorry, it’s used- you need to bring it to a service center”.

The service place was over an hour away.

I can’t believe anyone would buy a piece of powered equipment from them.

did some googling. could be the unloader valve, its a spring loaded stem that if stuck would not allow the pump to generate pressure. Will try to play with it when i get home, could be a simple issue to make not worth driving to hammond. Tractor Supply sucks just as much as the douchey down voters on the OB.

I'll give you an upvote if it makes you feel better.

It's a shitty situation but I can kind of see their side. If they set a policy, they have to stick with it.

Hopefully it's an easy fix.

these policies aren't freaking broadcasted in the store across the windows though. Usually takes a hard lesson learned to know that they have such an inferior return policy compared to competitors.

Cant tell you for sam's/walmart, but lowes and HD both have 30 day policies on gas engine products.

i've returned a ryobi weedeater to home depot previously for a full refund after a damn near year's usage before. These stores are good for accommodating exceptions.

ETA: I'm also not returning it but asking for a replacement. There is a difference there, not sure how home depot's "policies" on paper would handle that difference. I've never asked for my money back from TSC.

Walmart may return it and others but let’s not act like they have all around amazing customer service.

If you read any warranty information OP they all say these days do not return it to the store, so I disagree on Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc. taking it as a return. They might, but that’s not the normal process anymore.

Under 30 days it’s considered a new purchase and that’s why they accept them, probably issue at time of purchase or delivery. After 30 is a parts warranty issue usually, I just had a washing machine at 6 months old need a new part.

I've had to return a lawnmower, a paint sprayer, and my wife had a sewing machine that was busted right out of the box. It happens. Could be a dud, could have been damaged in shipping, etc. I know that sucks, but after I assembled a new lawnmower and it wouldn't start, I learned my lesson. My dad had a brand new dishwasher delivered and installed, and when the guy from Lowe's went to turn it on to test it out, nothing happened. He checked all the wiring and plumbing, and made sure no fuses were flipped in the breaker panel. I think it ended up being a bad computer board or something, but it happens.

I leave it in the box for forever. I just assume new stuff works.

People like this are lowest piece of scum. The same people that buy something, use for a day, then return

Almost as bad as someone who doesn’t return their shopping cart
