- Find your local ordinances/laws to see what options you have.
- You'll likely have 2 options:

1. Spend money to catch him breaking the law and turn him in.

2. Spend money to eliminate his ability to see deer and shoot them on your property.

No. Has your neighbor shot onto your property? Why do you think he Will? Its legal for him to hunt his property line. With 10 acres his whole place is a property line.

I don't think there is any question he will trespass given the opportunity but I can't monitor that every day.

There is no ordinance on the set back.

I suspect there will a lot of brush clearing and piling going along that property line. Hog baiting too if his feeder brings a lot of hogs into the area.

Why do people keep saying this?

It's 220 yards by 220 yards. If he was smart he would bed the edges and clear the middle. Food plot dead center. Then hunt inward.

Has six shooting windows facing my property. It is a big blind--two double sliding windows in the back facing my property making four spots and one long double window in the short side facing my property. What do you thinK?

He can hunt his property all he wants.

Is it just a bare acres? If so I would just look at trying to buy it from him.

If not then I would be putting brush piles along his whole line of sight.

Because its illegal. You start being a total dick to the guy with no verifiable reason to do so and you're gonna have way bigger problems than thinking someone might shoot across the line. Sounds like you have "i own more land than you" complex. If you KNOW the guy is a frickhead then yea, go ahead and make his life as difficult as you can. Otherwise, you're making a situation out of nothing.

Wants to see if somethings coming. Who the hell builds a stand you can't see/shoot out of all sides?

Again, you're making a big deal out of nothing.

Mixed timber that I maintain fire lanes on. The fire lanes are grown up some and need cleaning. My fire lanes are wider than his shooting lane to the feeder. No fire in years on the place. I hope to burn it this winter if it will dry out enough. I am going to clear those fire lanes and pile the brush and burn from time to time I suspect.

So, you're a game thief. Got it.

They don't hunt my property line. If they shoot one it will have been shot on their property.

How do you know? Have you trespassed onto their property looking for deer stands along or close to your boundary? Ladder stands, Lock-Ons, Temp Blinds not yet erected?

His blind and feeder are on his property. Plain and simple. You're assuming he will shoot onto your property, but until he does his setup is completely legal.

Again if you refuse to allow him to retrieve a deer shot on his property and that ran onto your property, then you have the LEGAL responsibility to go retrieve that deer. Failure to do so will result in a violation of wanton waste for you. You allowed that deer to rot, and decay on your own property after a legal hunter notified you it was there. If you do go and get his deer, then you had best have a tag to place on that deer before it's moved, or you're getting a failure to tag citation as well.

Call your area Mr. Green Jeans and ask him. Call him now, to check over that hunters setup, if he's illegal then he'll ask him to take down his blind and feeder.

Note: You have every right to place feeders and foodplots on your property to hold deer, and keep them from traveling through.

Just so I am straight on the situation, my understanding from this thread is this:

The neighbor to his stand in the corner of his property so that from his stand he can only shoot for 90 degree on his property and 270 degrees on the property of other people. In addition, he has put a feeder, not in the middle of the 90 degree he can cover of his on property but where about half of the feed will be consumed off his property. Then prior to season starting he has already contacted OP about chasing wounded deer onto his OP's property.

If that is correct, I think OP has a problem on his hands and this guy will be shooting deer on his property which is not only illegal but extremely dangerous.

Edit to add: People who don't see a problem with the stand placement don't own land themselves or haven't had to deal with trespassers.

Over the years we have caught several people fishing in our pond and always got answers like "we didn't know we couldn't fish there" or "the prior owner's let us fish here" (land has been in my family for 5 generations now).

We need an MS Paint diagram of the setup including the surrounding properties. Only way to settle this!

Do that and I B's mixed timber just might get burned as well. Some wind, natural kindling, and a lighter would work much the same way.

Plus his cellular game camera has pics in the cloud of you burning his blind, pushing over feeder, and Trespassing.
