I was planning to get a couple tactacams, any advice on whether to go with the 2.0, X Pro or 3.0?
the 2.0 for $100 seems like a pretty good deal

Moultrie Edge cellular cams have been flawless for us. 2 years with solar panels, no issues. Academy has them on sale for $59 right now too.

I have tactacams and they work very well, my buddy has Moultrie edge and they are constantly having issues. His have been offline for a few months and mine are snapping away sending pics with 100% battery due to the solar panel use.

Tactacam Reveal 2.0 or 3.0. All have been working flawlessly at our camp. I just got a couple of 3.0 and they are way better than the moultries that I had been running. Clearer pics and the app is not glitchy like moultrie.

If you buy the Moultrie at Academy the solar panel is half off

It's probably user error based on the "issues" I've seen in the Moultrie groups. They are also quick to respond and fix or send a new unit if it's on them. We have no reason to complain or find another cam. I can't recommend them enough.

I have some 2.0 pros and got some 3.0. I would spend the extra money and get the 3.0. Built in SD card and pics are better out the box.

Is the Moultrie pretty easy to set up on the cellular? Monthly plan? I need 2 to monitor a road and gate and send me pics of those coming and going. Pretty remote area. Thanks!

Love my wiseye camera.

I have both Tactacams and Wiseeye cameras. I have Reveal x & Reveal x-pro. Don't really see any difference in the 2 except for the pro has the LCD screen. I did have 2 Gen 1 cameras that both went bad after a few years and tech support was OK at best. The x-pro replaced the gen 1 but I had to pay a discounted rate for it.
Wiseeye has been hit or miss. It takes great pictures but the batteries do not last as long as the Tactacams. I will say the Tactacam battery life is really good. I am going to have to get an external battery for Wiseeye. You have to be careful on placement and sensitivity settings. Somedays it will take 30-50 pictures for no reason at all.
Those are the only 2 brands I have used. One member swears on Spartans.

If you are using a Wiseeye w AA’s on ‘Always Available’ check in settings that will kill it fast. We recommend the 4x a day setting for AA use.
Which model? Does it have 8 or 12 AA’s?
Post a pic so I can see how it’s aimed vs the sensor locations.

I do have it set for 4 times a day.
Camera is the mini that uses 8 double AAs.
I haven't posted a picture in some time on here. If you can DM me an email address, I can send it to you.
I changed batteries like a month ago. Sensitivity is set on 2. Picture size is 8 M

I just trashed my two spypoints. Absolute garbage. I went to tactacam and love them. I guess any brand can have some good and some bad.
I placed both brands on the same tree for comparison. In my yard where cell phone signal is great and in the woods where the signal sucks. The tactacam outperformed the Spy point in every aspect. Pictures of deer that the Spy Point never took, pictures are more clear, picture transmission is more consistent.
