thinking about making a trip to millers lake by ville platte what do i need to know before making the trip?

You don’t need a large boat in Miller’s, but a decent outboard is a good idea.

You can probably catch all the bass you want in the ditch close to the launch. Old baw collecting the cash might have some choice words for you though

Half the folks from evangeline parish with hurt backs that can’t work will be fishing there. The other half will be on chicot lake.

Every thing already mentioned. Plus... During the week is better, once word gets out the brim are biting gets packed with jon boats and bobbers. Little wind big wake. Bright day low numbers. Don’t go after a recent rain.

you will either catch 0 or 25 sac-a-lait... that lake is so up and down. we usually do pretty good in the heat of the summer fishing in the lilly pads
