Renewed my LA fishing license this morning..
Up from $22.50 to $32 (basic FW/Salt)
Pretty substantial increase.

+$5 convenience fee (for online renewal I guess), worth it for not having to drive or see people.

Depending on your age, a lifetime license can pay off in just a few years if you hunt and fish every year. I hate the price increases too though.

No reason not to get a lifetime, if able. It pays for itself, you don't have to be bothered with renewing every year and you can get the endorsements on your physical license or on LA wallet.

With the price of a hunting or fishing trip, it's a great value.

You fishing today? The weather doesn't look too good here. If you bought it today and aren't fishing then you wasted your money.

They combined a bunch of gear licenses for crab traps and shrimp trawls into the regular fishing licenses.

Same with deer licenses...they combined archery and primitive weapons into one deer license.

Have you seen the comments on Facebook about what's required for Elmer's now? Fun read

Haven't we always had to have that or was that just for hunters?

I may be wrong here but didn't Elmers just recently become WMA?

Dumbasses don't know how easy this access is. Should see what you have to do for BLM access in other states.

I believe it was only enforced for hunting on WMAs, but I could be wrong.

Previously it was only needed to hunt. Any non-hunting activities on WMA's only required that you held any LDWF hunting/fishing license or the Wild Louisiana stamp.

And Elmer's wasn't managed as a WMA until now. Never had to do the self-clearing permits to visit Elmer's until today.

Agree. I qualify for the "Senior's License" and it's only $5 with the $5 convenience fee.

With the cost of gas and heading out to a sporting goods store like Puglia's about 3 miles away, well worth it to just sit at home and order on-line.

That's why I went ahead and purchased my lifetime license in May.
