Same fresh cutover tripod as yesterday afternoon. I did see a doe and yearling yesterday at about 700 yards sneaking through the stumps and tree tops but I ain’t that good, lol. Still hoping for something at 40 yards and this damn morning sun is about to be directly in my eyes! Good luck to all out this morning.

Had a 3 pointer walking aimlessly through the cutover at 7:40 but I was told, “just a doe and as many pigs as I can slay.” So I wait.

Took our time with breakfast and coffee this AM and didn’t get in the stand until 9. Bird watchers paradise today. Red tailed hawk, cardinals, thrashers , ducks , geese , robins, chimney sweeps and even saw a young bald eagle in the binocs riding in on the Ranger. Jumped a doe on the way in but have not seen anything else. Getting thirsty…..

Most productive spot last year. Had to move about 15 yards further in due to tree growth. Looks awesome.
