poison ivy up and down my legs, inside of both arms and small of my back; redbug bites all around my waist and sockline, pulled 2 ticks off yesterday, too many mosquito and spider bites to even count and the kicker was the wasp hiding on the trashcan this morning that tapped my hand.

CSB; thanks for letting me vent. fricking wasps.

nobody to blame but myself.

we have 27 garden beds (dont ask, previous owner) scattered over 2 acres and after all the rain when i'm walking the dog..i spy virgina creeper and grapevine..I KNOW WHAT POISON IVY LOOKS LIKE...but my OCD kicks in and is like "just grab that virgina creeper..there's no poison ivy mixed in...who needs to go get gloves? 'cmon...do it."

your poison ivy is NOTHING compared to what i had to go through about a year and half ago. My arms were so blisted that they were oozing for nearly an entire week. The whole ordeal nearly last a month. I'm talking about going to sleep with my arms paper toweled/ gaused/ and wrapped and waking up in a puddle of puss in the mattress type bad.

I'd much rather get stung by a wasp than have chiggers on my sack.

At least the sting goes away after a minute or two.

you wrong, baw

its not that bed this year but a few years ago i was having to go into the office and my pants were STICKING TO MY LEGS; the blisters were so bad, they would be soaked halfway up. so embarrassing.

and i'm sure you know the joy of 'peeling your pants off' later when you get home

i literally wished for the sweet release of death a couple of times late at night when my entire body was on fire

neither. whatever hangs around outside the doors and woods with webs that i walk through and they hitch a ride for a bit until they're bored and bite me so i'll knock them off.

What do yall use to spray wasp nests?

Both neighbors don’t do crap, so I end up spraying their side the fence and their eaves near my house. Those spray bottles aren’t too expensive but I run through them pretty fast.

I used to get poison ivy rashes all the time, but I haven't gotten it in probably 10 years. I haven't spent less time in the woods-more actually. They say that you can't build up immunity to it, but I don't know how else to explain it. Maybe I've just been lucky.

I immediately go get a steroid shot bc I don't do well with it. Spreads the first night real bad. Good luck.

Read this and thought, man that sucks because I just got over something like that.

Then I saw the rest

Interesting fact: The rash doesn't come directly from the poison ivy. The rash is produced by an allergic response from your own immune system due to it not recognizing the ivy's oily plant resin urushiol.

Water with some dawn dish soap mixed in a spray bottle.

Kills them very fast and cheap.

Cad, have you taken any benadryl?

I'm lucky that poison ivy doesn't bother me. Tears my mom up though. Also, some people are allergic to virginia creeper. You might be one.
