Headed to a large slough not far off the coast. Ducks supposedly feed in the saltwater areas and come to it for freshwater. Hoping for my first black duck.

Kicking the idea of going deer hunting. Just not that thrilled to go.

After the rut activity I saw yesterday along with the fact that the buck was bigger than any I've had on camera and it's killing me to go to work.

Sitting over a small food plot in East Texas. Stick and string hunting. 50 degrees 10mph Screen wind clear and sunny.
Just had a spike and a young 8 walk under me. Ate a lil on plot and then walked to a scarpe. Locked antlers and pushed each other around for a bit. Pretty cool. Hopefully a bigger buck comes to this scrape now.
