I need a pellet gun recommendation that can kill a rabbit

I live in an area that if I used my 22, the police would be visiting me shortly after I killed the fricker.

Why are you trying to kill it? Just use a cb short. if you open your door and shoot a subsonic from inside your house it cannot be heard outside

Find a Sig Sauer ASP-20 ASAP before they are all gone. PCP accuracy from a break barrel with rabbit power. I just bought a new lower power gun just for sparrows because my Sig just seems like an elephant gun on small birds.

basically any break barrel kind. the Gamo one I had as a kid killed many a squirrel, never tried shooting a rabbit with it, but it would do the trick. You could probably just trap it though.

An heirloom type rig might not be what you're after but the quality is top notch. I bought one in 22 cal about 6 years ago and it's been a tack driver. I use the Hawke scope app and took pigeon from 80 yards. It's on the lower power side of things at around 647 FPS but that also plays into the accuracy and quietness. Pretty much any break barrel pellet rifle with a shrouded barrel should keep you out of trouble with the neighbors.

I had been recommending my Umarex Octane for a while. Went and got a Gamo Swarm Maximm Gen2 few months ago (break barrel with a 10rd magazine)....accuracy blows the Umarex out the water. It's a .22 cal, so has power.

Agree on the Gamo Swarm Gen 2 models with 10 round magazines in the improved Gen 2 versions. They finally came out with the most powerful Magnum version in Gen 2. Here's a link to all 3 Gamo Swarm Gen 2 models (Magnum, Fusion, and Maxxim).

Bought a Seneca Aspen .22 air to take out nutria for the same reason you state about a “firearm” discharge in the neighborhood.
It’ll take down a rabbit easily - and it’s a heck of a lot of fun.

FWIW: I have a tub fed bolt action 22 I only run CCI subsonic shorts through. I sighted it in once years ago and the thing is extremely quiet. The rifle is accurate & makes a lot less noise than my break barrel pellet rifle.

My brother has a Diana with the air tank, in .22 cal with the integral silencer. Pretty quiet, damn accurate, and gets a good bit out of the tank.
He can hit quarter-size groups at about 80 yds easy. Rabbit shouldn't be an issue, I've seen him earhole quite a few varmints that large.
If you're looking to do this in your back yard, and bored and wanting to play around, you can do what we did a few years back-
go find an old Sony camcorder that can do IR. Mount it onto your scope with a couple of hose clamps. It's not 'true night vision', but that doesn't matter... go buy some IR floodlamps and put them in place of your regular porch lights.
Now, go buy a cheapo motion detector porch light, put an IR lamp in that too, and rig it to trigger something inside the house too. We used a red lamp. Set it up on a kill-zone, and have the rifle benched in place covering that zone. Put up some bait of some sort, to draw in the critters (he had a mouse problem near a feed bin. That "mouse problem" quickly became a fun diversion).
The lamps light up the yard like daylight, but only in the IR spectrum. It's pitch black otherwise, and critters get a lot bolder.
The biggest issue became, we got rid of all the mice, and ended up wanting some more to come in
