Saw this posted on FB and thought it interesting.

I didn't realize there were that many more hunters in Louisiana vs Mississippi.

Holy crap at how much Mississippi makes off of non-residents.

Louisiana's population is larger than Mississippi's.

I really think MS would be broke if it wasn’t for LA in every aspect.

One day I plan to live there though.

I wish MS would do a non resident lifetime. I feel like they did at one point.

I got mine the last year they were offered. 1997 or 1998. Can't remember for sure. Best $3k I've ever spent.

I would be curious to see the other side as to how much LA collects on non-resident fishing licenses.

It’ll happen but it’ll be a few years before we pull the trigger. I stay at my camp as long as I can when I go.

This number of total hunters would make the U.S. have the largest armed force on the planet!

July 2020
Despite pandemic, Mississippi ends budget year with an estimated $56 million surplus in funds.

To avoid 'catastrophic cuts,' Louisiana could use $1B in federal funds to balance budget.

Came to say exactly this. LOTS of folks crossing to fish the Biloxi marsh and everywhere else in LA. It goes both ways....
