What is everyone using as their everyday hunting backpack? I'm talking just for whitetail hunting, nothing crazy like going to the mountains for days or anything like that. Just to and from the stand everyday during deer season to carry essentials in....

Are you using it to carry sticks or anything?

You box stand sitting, log sitting, creeping, or hanging off the side of the tree in a sling? You hunting from daylight to dark? Or are you one of those guys that rides a SxS 400 yards before daylight to his box stand, sits until 8am, heads back to camp for breakfast, back at the camp eating biscuits and drinking beer watching gameday until 4pm when you go to the closest box stand with cell service to watch the end of the ballgames on your phone while watching a field with a corn feeder.

Whichever one it is, any dang bag will hold items, they'll all leak if it rains too much, and they'll be between $20 and $500. You

Box stand and ladder stand...... some all day sits, no sticks or anyhting like that, just carrying maybe some rain gear, a grunt call of some sort, rattle horns (maybe) a couple flashlights and head lamps, cover scent, those types things..... I guess, is it worh getting anything other than a academt type backpack or is their something out there that will hold up longer

if you want to spend $200, you can get a backpack that will hold up longer than your standard Academy bag

Eberlestock, Badlands, Mystery Ranch, etc all make good day packs

My wife talked me into a nicer osprey when we were hiking a few years back, it’s well made and has stood up to quite a bit of abuse. I’ve given up the idea that hunting gear needs to be camo colored and it goes with me bow hunting to a box stand.

Used a Kelty hiking back for years. Packed butchered animals out with it as well.

Got a Badlands 2200 now and love it.

Any good hiking or hunting bag will work.

I bought an Alps Outdoors Crossbuck a few years ago primarily because it is available in blaze orange. I've found it to be a good general purpose pack. Plenty of room, well made, and since it is blaze I can wear it while still hunting.

I have a smaller KUIU that I like for traveling. I now hunt for whitetails and carry a bunch of crap like thermocell, binos, horns (December thru January), extra release, rope, light, bow hangers, bunch of other stuff. Sitka tool box for this. Have the other smaller sitka and out grew it. I used a badlands for years but the zippers on side pockets kept messing up. Sent it back 3 times. Bad lands repaired the zippers and they would only last a few days before messing up. Put in closet.

Up until recently, I used a backpack. I came to the realization that I had gradually added more and more things to my backpack, most of which was unnecessary and had rarely, if ever, been used. Now I carry a "big" backpack in my truck w/ all those extra items. When I leave for a hunt, I now carry a many pack. It's an old one I bough from Cabela's in the mid 90's. It's holding up well. I carry the bare essentials in the fanny pack.

you can spend as much as you want, I use a $65 dollar pack from LA Police Gear.

I've had it for almost ten years, carried in Central America, Canada and Israel. I goes to the deer stand every time I go and stays in my truck.

The fewer pockets the better for me, so I just use a cheap Academy pack.

Flashlight, binos, ammo, release, toilet paper, bottle of water and three year old granola bars.

Sometimes I find stuff I forgot about and that is cool
