I just don't get all the hate for dog hunting on here.

Hating on dog hunting is the new progressive opinion in hunting. We don't dog hunt, that's unethical and not the RIGHT way to do it (although I'm okay with ambushing them from my high rise, enclosed heated box stand where I can see multiple corn and protein feeders and shoot them from hundreds of yards away with my high-powered rifle.) Makes no sense to me.

Y'all remind me of white Obama voters.

That sure is a big ole can of gas you just threw on that fire

I don't really think dog hunting is unethical but I don't like it. I don't want my kids growing up thinking if they can't read deer signs, learn the woods, and put themselves in position to kill a deer then just go get a pack of dogs and flush the deer out to you.

My 10 yr old killed 2 of his first deer in front of dogs. It's taken a lot of work to get him to understand why he needs to know how to actually hunt deer.

I feel the same way about folks that buy big deer fwiw

And to me, real deer hunting is going onto a sizeable property (public or private), scouting, observing, paterning and ultimately harvesting a mature deer. Doing all of this without the aid or game cameras or hunting over unnatural food source

this is the correct reply to anyone who complains about anyone else' methods who in turn uses tools other than this to harvest Whitetail.

Might I add that there is some excellent trolling going on in here

I prefer shooting my 7600 with a swavorski mounted on top while running deer with BMC's. I usually park my Chevy on the side of the hwy so I can shoot the deer before it gets on your property. Of course I'll have to trespass to retrieve the deer. I'll be sure to return to that exact spot to dump the guts on your property. frick the tenderloins - I'm not getting yucky to retrieve them. After all the hard work is done, I'm going to coat medallion size pieces of backstrap in flour and deep fry in vegetable oil!! Of course - I'll have a judge on my hip the whole time!!

That should get the rest of y'all's panties in a bunch.

Your name is rebbeer. Of course its lawyers doctors and the like.
So legacy family members with a bunch of old money and elitist attitudes.

If yall hunt it correctly, good for yall. Yall are the 1%.

Yall are also the reason all the other hunters in mississippi have to deal with the 99% trash dog hunters cause the big money buys the legislature. Its bought out and killed in committee every time.

Not sure if serious.

No elitists where we hunt. I was just making a point that the guys in our little club are not a bunch of white trash trespassing POS's. They're mostly hard working God fearing men who enjoy spending time together and love to hear a good race.

Jimjackandjose has the most law abiding dog hunters near his property. Idk why he even bitches about them. Those hunters are straight classy men and woman.

Please tell me 3 skills that it takes to kill a mature deer in a food plot, from a box stand, that someone that hunts dogs cannot perform?

Now, I see a shitload of 350 lb sweathogs on the side of the road before daylight smoking cigarettes and eating sausage biscuits, getting on 4wheelers to ride within 50 yds of their box stands to sit and watch a food plot all day. These seem to be the people I associate with "not putting in the time to learn the woods", rather than the dog hunters.
