Every dog hunter I have ever been around knew the woods like the back of their hand. Admittedly it has been awhile and not that many, but they were damn good woodsmen.

I associate with "not putting in the time to learn the woods", rather than the dog hunters.

Any seasoned dog hunter will know as much about deer movements as any still hunter. Running dogs the deer will cross in a crossing very frequently and if you study why they cross there you will figure how to kill big bucks. As a kid this helped understand funnels.

I know guys that were former dog runners and have killed more big bucks with their bows than anyone I know.

The club I am in now the dog runner consist of older gentlemen that are straight arrows. Quickest way to be kicked out of the club is to be outlawing or drunk.

Doubtful. So far, I've managed to make it through life without any size 6 1/2 shrimp boot prints in my arse.
