Let your representatives hear it fellas

quote:

generally requires individuals to obtain a license to purchase, acquire, or possess a firearm or ammunition;
raises the minimum age—from 18 years to 21 years—to purchase firearms and ammunition;
establishes new background check requirements for firearm transfers between private parties;
requires law enforcement agencies to be notified following a firearms-related background check that results in a denial;
creates a statutory process for a family or household member to petition a court for an extreme risk protection order to remove firearms from an individual who poses a risk of committing violence;
restricts the import, sale, manufacture, transfer, or possession of semiautomatic assault weapons and large capacity ammunition feeding devices;
restricts the manufacture, sale, transfer, purchase, or receipt of ghost guns (i.e., guns without serial numbers);
makes trafficking in firearms a stand-alone criminal offense;
requires federally licensed gun dealers to submit and annually certify compliance with a security plan to detect and deter firearm theft;
removes limitations on the civil liability of gun manufacturers;
allows the Consumer Product Safety Commission to issue safety standards for firearms and firearm components;
establishes a community violence intervention grant program; and
promotes research on firearms safety and gun violence prevention.

Hank Johnson is the sponsor which should tell everyone everything they need to know

Literally the dumbest person in congress if not Georgia.
Thought Guam would tip over.

Honestly the most dangerous and arbitrary part of this. This could turn into ANYTHING

Call me Crazy but this country will have to crater before it can be fixed. The wish list will happen since they control DC now. There will be no need for EO’s going forward, add statehood for PR & DC and America is fuked 9 ways from Sunday.
Not sure how many Americans will open their eyes to this cultural revolution that’s about to occur.

What would be the purpose of this? If someone got denied, what the hell are they being notified about?

Non starter, even with many democrats.

It will instantly criminalize many, many law abiding citizens.

Yup. CPSC decides all firearms and firearm components aren't safe.

Bam. Complete ban on all firearms.

Which is of course what this is really all about to begin with.

In CA, you have to have a background check every time you buy ammo (and possibly gun parts)

So the person who was denied can be arrested for attempted possession of a firearm?

This isn’t your fathers Democrat party. Don’t assume anything is too crazy for these people. It’s no secret what Dems want to do with guns. They’re telling us. No reason we should assume they won’t do what they’re telling us they want to do.
