How do you discard old push mowers and a dishwasher?

I have 3 old push mowers that have been in the corner of my backyards for a few years now. I'm also about to put in a new dishwasher. How do you get rid of them?

Will the local dump take them or can I put them at the road in hopes that someone will pick them up? Also, is there someone I can call to come pick them up?

I don't care if they make money off of them. I just want them gone with the least amount of effort required on my part. TIA

Put a 'For Sale $100' sign on them at the curb, they'll be gone in the morning

Seriously. I've put several old bikes and lawnmowers at the curb and it's amazing how quickly they disappear. I don't even bother with a sign.

There's people that drive around looking for things like this. They make a job of getting them, fixing, and then selling for profit.

Our city will pick up old mowers after the fluids have been drained so you might check.

If you put them on the curb, a sign that says “Gratis” helps.

Scrap metal is really high right now. Like few weeks ago I hauled scrap steel and got 180 dollars a ton.

3 mowers and a washer might get you 40 bucks if there’s a scrap yard near you.

Just don’t toss it in a canal ditch like everyone around here does that shite irks me

That is what you need to do in New Orleans. In Baton Rouge just put at the roadside before the weekend. Scavengers with old pickups drive around picking up metal items over the weekend to bring to the scrapyard on Monday morning

Put them out early enough and they’ll be gone before nightfall

I live in N.O. and anything appliance or tool related put to the curb will disappear in quick order. I've put out fridges, ovens, dishwashers, old power lawn tools, stoves, washers and dryers and they never last a day.

Haven’t you heard? Load it up in your pick up truck and find the nearest sugarcane field. Back up partly into the field and proceed to empty the bed of the truck.

Works every time.
