Somewhat extreme but not out of the ordinary for wildlife photographers. 6 months is a long as time, but I've known guys who sit for weeks for a shot.
They have a strong drive for the perfect shot.
I shoot pics of bears, but don't have to sit and wait more than a couple hours, or hike a long trail.

Siberian tigers can get to something like 700-800 lbs and male lions only get to like 500-600. Tigers can get absolutely huge. Its hard to say how tall that girl is but that's not photoshopped.

Saw a show on this guy years ago. Will sit in his bunker for months and sometimes doesn't see a single tiger. Dud is oriental if I remember right and yep... he is crazy!
