Yes, lots. Kinda cottony, but the flavor is just fine.

A few times. Some good, one sandwich in Marksville so bad I threw it out the window of the truck, then felt guilty that some possum might find it.

Ate some gar on a recent bow fishing trip. Not that bad. Has the consistency of chicken nuggets.

There is a gar tournament at Blind River Bar every year and they cook up all the fresh gar into ball and fry it. It taste pretty good.

1: Absolutely. Get it from clean moving water!
2: At least twice a month. Brackish gar only. Its a staple at my house.
3: There's a lot better things in the wild to try.

A couple of places I frequent for lunch have garfish boulettes, and I have thought about trying.
If I ever eat a grinnel it'll be because I can't go fishing any more and can't afford to buy catfish.

When a possum hits my table it means shite's pretty bad and I'm in severe survival mode.
