I’ll talk to my buddy who works at the capital and see if there is any plan to try and override this veto

This MF is marginally more likeable than JBE, but I'll be damned if he won't go down in history as probably the worst govs this state has ever had. It's like he wakes up and says "the people want this, frick it, imma do that instead. Carbon capture bullshite prime example.

His best friend is one of the most corrupt people in the state. Birds of a feature flock together.

actually this is a boomerang from David Vitter's collapse giving us 8 years of JBE.

not a chance too many are on the "pogie mafia" payroll.

I guess someone has finally surpassed the "oytser mafia"

But then again…how in the hell…does a business get away with destroying an environment…and then selling that fish they catch…into fish meal…that feeds imported shrimp over seas that outcompetes our local shrimpers….

When Rep Orgeron was trying to get his pogey bill passed, the shrimpers and the LA Shrimp Association opposed it, so they're just getting what they specifically asked for.

This kind of thing and carbon capture will be his political downfall. Louisiana’s sportsmen need to get more organized and support someone else in the next election. Screw him and the foreign Menhaden companies!

If it passed both houses unanimously, it should be able to be overridden, I would think.

Which one? Because there are a few who would consider themselves at the top of the list.

To quote King Edward Longshanks from Braveheart, "the problem with Scotland is it is full of Scots."

To modernize that quote for our state and today, "the problem with Louisiana is it is full of Lawyers and Politicians."

Why are we, the state we love, so terrible at state politics? Rhetorical, BTW.

I seem to remember Jindal being pretty great before his rediculous presidential campaign

Someone posted a picture on Facebook last year of a pogey boat operating right by Chandeleur with a huge dead tarpon in its net
When gill nets were still legal - it was mind boggling to see how many were in gill nets in and around chef pass - in fact one even got entered into GITR - guy from bucktown -

saw one in lake borgne dead that was the biggest I had ever seen - well over 200lb
