not true
check out dr wil stein’s study that we participated in:

LINK

“to find out, Stein enlisted the help of one of Louisiana's most colorful communities — spear-fishermen. The evidence they provided was overwhelming.”

"We had the Hell Divers go out in the Barataria Bight west of the Mississippi River," Stein said. "They found scores of juvenile tarpon. We discovered we have very, very large numbers of juvenile tarpon in our coastal waters, which means this fish is capable of leaving the nursery habitat in the marsh and migrating to near shore waters in the Gulf of Mexico to mature."

I’m thinking of Shane Guidry.

Maybe they are all in kahoots, and the governor said y'all go ahead and pass it so you look good for your constituents, and I'll just veto it. I'll take the Heat.

I still chuckle at people that claim they spawn inshore - when nothing could be further from the truth they spawn offshore but larvae come inshore.

Still rare to catch a juvenile tarpon in LA.

Shane Guidry.

He and Landry are two peas in a pod.

Landry was on Harvey Gulf's board of directors while serving as LA AG receiving $50 - $100k annually.

Guidry was a "volunteer/special appointment role" with the LA AG's office.

Much less the contributions to Landry's Super Pac from Harvey Gulf and Guidry.

Just because there are scores of them offshore doesn’t mean they aren’t highly migratory.

In LA they have been pushed offshore by the pogie boats.

There are plenty of studies that show the migration from FL to LA to TX to Mexico.

Serious question. Do we have any chance of finding a candidate who has a shot in a primary against this fool?

How about President Punjab Jindal?

He had his shortcomings, but he doesn’t hold a candle to our 2 Governors named Edwards.

The pogey industry needs to get the frick out of state waters.

Its straight up rape and pillage of the resource.
If tarpon were pursued here like they were when I was a kid - team tarpon would be going vigilante a long time ago

Letlow, graves or johnson

The real problem is the oyster mafia and now the pogie mafia -

The oyster mafia is what got the LWFC(later DWLF) created in the first place and they have run the show since then - heck they had the power to make two MAJOR freshwater diversions shells of what they were designed for, they killed mid barataria(with their usefull stooges the shrimp mafia)....

Now the pogie mafia and their $$$ - I doubt who is governor really matters.

La really is it's own worst enemy.

This is his last hurrah, as Gov, Senator or Dog Catcher. Louisianans are on to his corrupt arse.
