I am partial to my browning Gold Hunters from the mid to late 90's. Never had a lick of trouble and are easy to disassemble for cleaning.

I was thinking it may be a trap but took the high road and figured you came to your senses.

usually whe I shoot the 3.5's it's just to piss off one of my huting buddies. I do have a problem with the guard on my supermag but only when I shoot them left-handed (I grew up shooting lefty because my uncorrected vision in my left eye is better but am actually right eye-dominant and right handed). Anyway, if I shoot more than 3 or 4 times left handed, it feels like my middle finger is being hit with a hammer and the damn thing swells up to twice its normal size. Apparently, I wrap my left hand under the stock more than I do my right hand, and it kicks the guard into my finger every time.
