She needs to strengthen her ankles then, not let them atrophy even more in a cast. See a PT.
As someone who suffered from constant ankle injuries, this is the correct answer.
re: Ever known anyone that was murdered?

yep. guy was 2 years older than me. His father and my father served in the Air Force together and had several postings together. Basically grew up with that family always around. Summer after my father retired and we moved to Louisiana, kid was shot in an armed robbery while working in a gas station in Montgomery. He was 17 years old. No arrests or even leads as far as I recall.
re: Anyone have a dog with Addison's disease?
Posted by Pinetar on 8/4/14 at 3:52 pm to Carson123987
had a Chocolate Lab diagnosed with Addison's years ago. Treatment at that time was just the pills and two visits a year. Med's were not cheap, but it was probably worth it.
He was diagnosed at around 2 years old and lived another 5 or 6 years. His quality of life didn't seem to suffer any for it. He would play fetch until my arm got tired. Probably the best dog I ever owned. My son was born when the dog was about 5 or 6 years old. Every time the dog came in the house from outside, he wouldn't lay down until he located my son.
With that said, the end was absolutely gut-wrenching. He wouldn't eat for a few days, so we took him to the vet. They called a couple of days later to say that his kidneys were failing. So, we decided to take my 2 year old son to visit. When they were taking him back into the vet's office, he would stop after every step and look back at my son. My son kept trying to run back to him, and my wife had to pick him up to leave. Pretty sure the dog knew it was over. Got the call from the vet's office the next morning. Sat in my office and cried like a little girl for 5 minutes before I called the wife.

Drugs have to be involved in some capacity
Honestly, I have no idea if he's on drugs. I've met him several times and never saw evidence of it. But I've never seen him outside of a professional setting. I do know that he just built himself a beautiful home in that walled-in area at the end of West End. It was on some home tour thing recently, and I heard it's unbelievable. That's probably a good place to look for the $$.
I've heard rumblings that his work is nice on the surface but there's problems after that.

Does anyone have a good reason why a second referee shouldn't be added on the field?
speaking as a referee, it's a horrible idea and completely throws the game to shite. it leads to inconsistent calls and general clusterfrick of a game progress. they do this crap for some high school games here in LA and I absolutely hate it.

Any chance we see Bradley and Jermaine switch roles a bit?
Isn't Jones out for the next game after accumulating 2 yellows? I'd like to see Bradley slide into the Jones role with Mix in Bradley's current spot.
FIFA Laws of the Game
Law 12 - Yellow cards can be issued for:
"• unsporting behaviour
• dissent by word or action
• persistent infringement of the Laws of the Game
• delaying the restart of play
• failure to respect the required distance when play is restarted with a corner
kick, free kick or throw-in
• entering or re-entering the fi eld of play without the referee’s permission
• deliberately leaving the fi eld of play without the referee’s permission"
The "unsporting behavior" is pretty much a catch-all type thing that allows cautions for the "professional foul" (taking down from behind)amd other miscellaneous acts.

the Chicago Fire have something working in New Orleans City Park
It is a very loose association at best. It actually covers Lafreniere and City Park as well and is the end result of the combination of the old clubs that used to occupy those parks. The Fire do have a residential academy as well. I know some of the other MLS teams do also, but I'm not sure all do.
I'm pretty sure that only one player from the Louisiana Fire club has been invited to the residential academy and that was Mullins. He turned it down.

I would then stand right in front of him
can't get away with this anymore. the rules were changed a few years ago. defender has to be at least 2 yards away from spot where throw-in is taken.
Also, if you are merely standing there to prevent the follow through, you could easily be called for impeding the progress of an oponent (obstruction) since you are not making any attempt to play the ball.
Of course, if they throw the ball at you on purpose based on where you are standing, all bets are off. Technically should be a straight red for striking an opponent.

Have a committee
that should work just fine. Let's see... a committee to review game decisions in a FIFA tournament. So... a committee selected by and comprised of FIFA representatives/members. Yep. I see it. That would solve everything.
I think so but not with any great confidence.

I got word that the kid's mother is from Houma. I know her and went to school with her brothers. I'd venture to say that most people from Houma know or know of the family. Really tragic.

I'm guessing Larrick catches Jared, maybe even kills him, and that just pushes them over the edge the way they've already been freaking out about the future. The problem is, I'm guessing you don't just quit the KGB.
I'm thinking the Center orders Jared killed. He's way too much of a wildcard for them. They can't afford that type of loose end. Phil and Elizabeth are already concerned about what will happen with their kids. If they find out that the KGB is likely to kill them rather than protect them, they're gonna go all kinds of Jason Bourne.

i think you can give partial credit to the ball technology on that one. from the last angle, looks like the ball is starting to bend toward Rimando then goes the other direction late. that thing was knuckling pretty bad.
