All the "EPA approved" ones are absolute sh*t and either take forever to pour out or spill a lot more fuel than the older ones that the EPA banned. What solutions have y'all found?

Buy metal cans.

Remove strainer from nozzle.

6 gallons in under 1 minute.

There is a kit on amazon for around $20 that replaces these new shitty nozzles on cans with old flexible styles without all the crap on it. Kit also comes with parts to install a vent. The kit will retrofit 3 cans

This is the only acceptable solution I've found.

Buy the long neck flexible replacement hoses with vents. Make filling a crawfish boat so damn easy. With the EPA bullshite ones I ended up spilling way more.

Yes, thank you. I'll typically pour older gas in my truck and refill the emergency cans, only spill a pint to a quart out due to nanny government's abject bullshite. Just like anything else they put a title on, it is the exact opposite of what it's called. "No spill" means lose half your load.

You would think that anyone that has used a gas can made in the last 10 years would never want the federal government near their healthcare.

I almost always use my shake siphon to pour if I'm pouring the whole can (aka in my boats at the dock at the lake house). Maybe not the fastest solution but the easiest with zero spillage.

Just get an EZ pour gas spout. Just Google it or look on Amazon.

Buy some of those plastic yellow vent caps that go into the back of the can. It's like the old school cans had. You can buy bulk vents on eBay. Drill plastic can and pop it in

The EZ spout as mentioned works well

these really are the easiest to use of all the new cans on the market. for a few bucks more you can get the spout tube as well.

Amongst some colorful curse words I had never heard him utter before, at my first introduction to these new "better" gas cans, my father was heard to remark "the feds could fu*k up a wet dream"

pay attention to how they are made

most you can break off the plastic stoppers and slip a hose over the end to make a regular old fashioned hose coming out of the can. then drill a vent hole and shove a ss bolt in it

i did this for all of my cans, only issue is if it tips over it all leaks out

Did this last summer. Fixed my five gas cans, gave a few to my son, gave a couple to my neighbor. Still have a few left. Makes a world of difference.

What the hell is a "flame mitigation device"? I mean, I KNOW what it is... but... why? Was that REALLY a problem that needed a government mandated solution?
