I used the same logic. I saved so much by spending so much.

Exactly. The more you spend, the more you save!

Got my gear in today. Not gonna lie, I look pretty adorable compared to the rags I have always worn hunting. Gonna be in full “feeling cute, May gut something later” mode come October and November.

I'm still waiting on mine. Hoping it gets here before the wife sees it. Not that she would care too much but I don't feel like explaining anything to her at the moment.

Dammit ole boy. I spent waaaaay too much, but was time for an upgrade for lighter cold weather gear for hunting in a climber instead of a box with a heater. Got the Obsidian pants and Sawtooth jacket. I already have plenty of various layers of unders and socks, merino or polypro. Will upgrade the unders eventually when little lowhound gets big enough to take over some of my current gear. I already had some wool for elk hunts, but are mostly solid colors, and not ideal for late season climbing because I would stick out like a sore thumb. Figured this purchase would add to that collection. Was really intrigued by the new rain gear. Can use that as an outer shell in the cold really. Will probably be my next purchase as my current camo rain gear is old as hell and pretty faded.

We're both in the same exact boat. Still waiting on mine and hoping to intercept it from UPS before the wife asks questions because I don't want to explain lol.

Yeah I ended up getting a pair of zip off kiln bottoms for the three days it’s cold enough to need bottoms a year I sit and sweat my nutz off past 9 in my climber I can just take them off while in the stand.
A Klamath top and a kiln top should have me covered for the next several years.
I’m hoping a that now with three different weights of merino and the Klamath over the top for durability and wind protection and a drake windproof vest over the top will cover 95% of my hunts without ever wearing a jacket.

Called today and they said it just shipped and should be here Saturday while I’m not here and my wife is. Phuck me.

Also, on my profile, the tracking number didn’t populate. They said they’re having a problem and their tech team is working on it. So call if you can’t find a tracking number.

Ordered on 8/4. Seems it took a bit to get it filled and shipped. Pretty inconsequential as I don't need it for 4 more months but was still hoping I'd get it sooner.

If it were a big deal I'd do that but my wife won't be pissed. She just thinks I spend too much on hunting stuff as it is. Don't need her questioning anymore. If she does, so be it.

Mine doesn't get pissed but I know she'd go out and buy a new sewing machine or something if I had more first lite show up at the house.

I look a little bit like a sausage...but I just won't wear it alone...the idea is to wear that under a shell and that's it. Well....with pants of course. Wouldn't want ticks
