what's the point of a 5.4L F250?

seems obnoxiously priced too.

i don't know. the GM 2500 have the 6.0 gas engine option. i don't really tow much or at all. i'm just thinking if i want to tow my 4cyl jeep to the beach once a year, i'd be able to without a diesel engine.

Your 4 cyl Jeep will feel more powerful than the 5.4 F250.

I have a 15 duramax and I recommend a duramax. I also recommend deleting it. The new L5P’s can be deleted now by Kory Willis and make serious power. No way I would own a Diesel engine and not delete it. The fords are trash all around. The Cummins is a good engine but the trans is trash. The duramax is a damn good engine and the Allison trans is the best.
People think diesels are only useful if you tow something everyday and they will hate on you for owning one and not towing something daily but screw them. Diesels last longer and hold their value better... oh and they make real power, puff black smoke and that turbo makes panties wet

Mine is a Chevy high country. I like the brown interior, but I wouldn’t hesitate to drive a Denali either. I only bought mine over the Denali for the brown instead of black leather. I’m not sure who can do the work there but you can get the Kory Willis tunes sent to you and installed through an autocal or EZ LYNK. Look up PPEI tuning. You’ll want to do the engine tuning AND the TCM tuning. Tuning your transmission is just as important.

Fords break down a lot but are easier to work on. GMs don’t break down as often but are a PITA to work in. Both of my close friends who have driven Ford for years prefer the new Chevy/GMC HDs because of the improved ride one bought a Denali and the other will be buying a Duramax as his next purchase. My ‘16 rides 1000 times better than my 08.

I have a ‘14 F-350 with 177k on it. Only issue I’ve had is a/c at about 40k.

I have a 2017 F250 XLT CC 4wd with the 6.7
It’s been a great truck so far (48k). I had a 14 Chevy 2500 with 6 liter gas prior to this one. It’s night and day difference in the trucks. The ride in this truck is nice even with 70-80 psi in the tires. The power is nuts and it pulls my tractor like it’s not there. I’ll likely give this one to my son and get me another one in a couple years.

I’ll need to drive both.

On a side note: How bad is the water where your property is?

It’s worst where we are than 8-10 weeks ago

This morning's (6:00am) estimate is 3.5 feet of water in the low spot on the far side of the bridge. Demopolis is holding water and the pool level keeps rising. Below Demopolis, Coffeeville is holding also (pool level and tailwater are almost equal). Above us, Selden is letting water out. More rain coming. Bottom line is it is going to be well into the coming week before getting in to the property.

Our property is on the river between Selden and Demopolis lock and dams

It seems like Chevy/GMC does better for light trucks and Ford is the name of HD trucks
