I've had both. I am on my third F-250. No comparison. The 6.7 diesel is an excellent engine.

I would think your higher populated areas like Mobile would give you trouble but like I said, I’m no expert

I got rid of a 2016 Platinum 250 at 20k miles because the interior squeaked and rattled like a bucket full of pea gravel.

I'm satisfied with the Duramax.

None of them are worth what we pay, though.

If you buy a Ford F250 keep this on file.

I would look at a GMC.

Does the roof work if you are a big and tall man?

I haven’t heard of any access problems for tall folks

I had a 2013 F250 6.7 and I currently have a 2016 F250 6.7. They are basically the same truck and I love them both. My 2013 flooded in 2016 and I tried to justify a 2017 at that point in time, but couldn't with having a house to rebuild.

The 2017 and up Super Duty is nicer than any other truck on the road. The engine and transmission is proven and very reliable. Any turbo or HPFP issues were left behind in 2013.

I was an engineer at a diesel engine manf for a while.

Dont delete the aftertreatment. Dont modify anything. Be very meticulous about maintenance. Dont buy a diesel if you dont need one.

You can regularly haul 15k pounds with a properly equipped HD gas burner and get 250k miles out of it and sell it to someone else who will drive it for years. Been there done that.

Everybody hates urea injection but it's far better than any previously used emission control technology on a diesel. If not for it, we wouldnt have diesels.

Only reason I have hesitated on it so far is my pops has a 2011 bone stock F250 and has over 300k mi. He said the same thing, stay on top of the maintence and it will last you for years

I have a emissions intact 2016 and it will last me 10 years. Anything built after 2015 has no reason to be deleted. If you want to roll coal wearing a flat bill, do it.

Not directed at you, unless you wear flat bills.

My 2012 F-250 left me stranded and had to be put in the shop twice for emissions related issues. Started acting up around 70k miles. Cost me over $2500 out of warranty. Deleted and tuned it at 88k miles and has been trouble free since.

Sensors and the reductant pump. I will most likely go with a gas truck next go round as fuel and maintenance are cheaper in a gasoline engine. Unless you toe for a living or very heavy very often the diesel doesn’t make much sense not to mention the prices are getting into luxury car levels.

My sensors went out early but didn’t have any trouble since. Delete is no brainer between that, egr, and dpf... all that shite is doomed to clog and go bad

Yeah I can’t see how recirculating exhaust gas back into an engine can be good for its longevity. I have shift in the fly now so I can dial back the tune for towing.
