Are you considering a diesel just to haul a tractor to your property...one time?

This guy here. Why stop there, he should buy a Corolla and just rent a truck when he needs to make groceries once a month.

Had a 15’ f250 now I have a 18’. Both diesels. Get the ford and don’t look back! I only really tow something maybe 4-5 times a year to where I Really need a diesel, but idc if I didn’t have a hitch bc after having one I won’t go back to gas.

Have owned and worked on all 3 brands, would be the Ram if you plan on leaving it loaded down all the time or it will beat you to death but it will tow the best by far.
If you are 50/50 between towing and regular use, definitely the Ford from 2011 and up. That 6.7 will eventually surpass the 7.3L as the best engine Ford has put in one. Strong, efficient, and durable.
If you wanna jack it up and cruise the square showing off your truck nuts by the GM.

My '12 6.7 is deleted, the pump for the DEF was throwing a CEL light, it was something like $800 to make the repairs or ~$900 to delete it all for the parts, I installed myself. That was for a SCT tuner, I forget who's tunes, a delete pipe to get rid of the space ship, and the aluminum intercooler pipe, the factory plastic one is known to explode randomly. I picked up about 2mpg.
ETA: I later picked up a No Limit Stage 1 intake, it's been deleted ~30,000 miles.

It must be worth it. Do you have a winch and lights the truck?
I want to invent something that can pull up to 30,000 lbs if you were in a remote area

No winch, no light bars. I have a leveling kit and 35's on it now but I'm considering removing the leveling kit and dropping down a tire size.

The beauty of the urea system (selective catalytic reduction) is that it allows you to almost completely do away with EGR. You dont have to control NOx in the cylinder anymore, the urea takes care of that. You can have as much free oxygen in there as you want with the only limit being how much NOx flowrate the SCR can scrub.
From a performance and longevity perspective it's the best design since we had mechanical engines.

I'll check it out, mine has the heavier duty coils and leaf springs with overloads, leveling kit, track bar relocation, etc. I'd gladly trade all that crap to someone for the softer coils and leafs, I have a set of helper bags on the shelf too. I'm tired of this thing riding like a brick.

Well those tires are same height as 35’s just midway width wise between stock and 12.5’s. Gives me the best and compromise of both worlds. Great towing tires too
