welcome. Ford's 6.7 is turning out to be a fantastic engine. I've always preferred ford's interior packages as well.
the ram 19 interior limited package is pretty sweet interior wise.

if your goal is to break down frequently then go with the Ford

When you say Ford F-250, you mean a Subaru Outback, right?

No, i had some emission sensor issues around the 20k mark which was an issue in those years, i think its been worked out since.
Any diesel truck, i recommend a delete when close to out of warranty.
i have a '12 w/ 105k or so. looking forward to another 5 years plus.

The main use for the truck is hauling farm/hunting equipment, tools etc

I’ll probably buy one used 1-4 years old

Are they all diesel engine or are some gasoline?
Posted on 2/28/19 at 12:36 pm to biggsc
there are gas engines but don't be hanging no truck nuts on that shite.

Oh I plan to get a diesel.
Plan to get it in Birmingham or Montgomery.
However if I can er a better deal out of state, how much is it to get it transferred here?

I have a Sierra 2500 gasser. I got it new and didn't want to pay the extra 9k for the diesel to only tow the 5th wheel a few times a year. We camp anywhere between 5-10 times per yr.
I can tow up to 14K lbs in a 5th wheel set up and my camper weighs 9k empty. I don't plan on pulling it in any steep areas so I'm good. The 6.0L gas engine is a proven bulletproof monster that has been around forever.
If you'll be towing over 13k, I'd get the diesel. If not and you just want the truck nuts, get the diesel.
You can look up towing guides here.
