Does the dog have a snowball's chance in hell after they get going? I mean is there anything to hope for or are they essentially killing the dog here to get it out?

Either the dudes just telling me its a frog so they can flush it

Or he is convinced it really is a frog.

Either way I'm done....very little sleep and still have work to do.

If this thread was on the OT, the public works guy/dog executioner would be paying the piper for this.

more likely the dog, if in a small pipe, will tragically expire while they are trying to remove it by flushing the pipe with several thousand gallons of water.

FWIW if you wanted confirmation it was or was not a dog you needed to call a privately contracted house inspector or plumber and have them run their camera down the pipes.

I hate to be the heartless curmudgeon here but it was just a dog folks (assuming MOL was correct). Apparently one no one missed. Apparently one that was dumb enough to either fall or chase something down a storm drain and not be able to figure out how to get out. There are literally hundreds of dogs put down in shelters across the country everyday. Although these dogs are stuck in confined space (cage) and have a dismal future with certain death, you don't see entire neighborhoods, police, fire departments, animal control, city utilities departments, news crews, internet communities, or Spicy Stacy's tits come out (not that they actually came out this time) to rally around freeing them. Honestly, how much tax payer money and public resources were wasted over a stray dog, or less likely frog?

MOL, I understand your desire to help and how it snowballed into what it did. I am not chastising you.

FWIW.......our tax $$$$ is wasted on much worse things than trying to help a trapped dog.

Actually........if I had a choice id probably pick my dollars to go to the trapped dog than some of the other animals it goes to.
