I love dove hunting... And I do eat them, but I gotta say they're pretty low on my wild game list as far as meat goes.

Basic poppers on the grill. They're not bad, but I think the bacon does most of the heavy lifting

I love them. Hate cleaning them, though.

Pigeons are really good, too.

Worcestershire might be the ingredient I'm missing. Good call.

I had/have a good bit from a South Tx hunt. Made a jambalaya the end of hunting season with them. Was a hit. Still have some plucked I need to cook. Yes, that was work lol.

Allegros game tame marinade as well. I cover them up over night with this, and move it to a Italian/W sauce a hour or so before I grill them.

Don't over cook it... It is hard to beat good dove.

Also Dove and gravy over rice with biscuits, is second to none! Cook it like you would a quail.

I've had some of this in my fridge for months, and until right now I thought it was called "game time."

It is legit... Good for anything wild... Can almost get the liver taste out of a shoveler

100% this. Just like with duck, you over cook dove and it is almost not worth eating.

Man I love them.

Cant ever kill enough, they dont even make it to the freezer.

Favorite is just bacon wrapped, jalapeno, slice of gouda on the grill.

Pan seared in some garlic butter is amazing.

Pan fried like chicken nuggets also amazing.

Does no one make a gravy with these things? that's how I've always had them cooked by old timers or my mom. and they were wonderful.

I like them in a gravy, grilled with strip of bacon and gumbo.I save the gizzards, heart and liver.
I’ve killed a few pigeons dove hunting, clean and eat them also.

Me and the kids eat them fried like chicken nuggets. I don't bother grilling them anymore because they are so easy to overcook.
