Well shite if y'all are all saying yote(s), guess I'm gonna be in the market for a mule or burrow.

If it were coyotes I would think you wouldn't have found much of the goat left, if any at all. Sounds more like dogs and I don't know how big the bobcats are where you live but the ones around here are not big enough to take down a big angry goat.

Pack of yotes. Get a donkey. They are dirt cheap. I mean like $5-10 last time I saw one at the sale barn

Same thing happened with my neighbors goats. Two were found with their throats ripped open. No yotes around here but we've seen and heard panther size cats with long tails that screech and raise the hair on your back. Weird thing is the goats weren't eaten. We're on the northern edge of the Maurepas swamp. There are/were some big cats there (also smaller bobcats).

agree. Bobcat cant take down a goat that size, much less 100 lbs (which is probably what your goat is closer to). ive seen a dalmation (which are arguably the most worthless dogs) fight off a bobcat.

Sounds more Canine, but yes.

bobcats definitely hunt in packs - saw three trying to herd small doe in Natchez to another waiting - doe just did get away

, 200# is a guesstimate, but that old man was big. He wasn't some little Billy Goat he was a big nasty hairy fricker.
"Little Billy Goats" are 40-50lbs.
How many black panthers have you seen lately?

maybe you don't know as much as you think you do...

olid red Boer goats are also becoming more and more popular. Mature weights between 200 and 350 pounds for males and 120 to 200 pounds for females are considered normal. They have long ears that should hang down along the sides of their faces. The leg bones and general bone structure of a Boer goat are bigger and thicker than in other kinds of goats. When you look at a Boer goat you should look for a deep, broad chest, good back, strong shoulders and heavy muscling in the rump.

Concur with the song dog opinions
Get a trail camera and set up on the carcass to see what's feeding on it . Never know what might show up

Just about every deer I've seen left to lay overnight has had the arse end eaten out by yotes and the rest is untouched. It would take a lot of them to completely clean a carcass. They usually count on it laying there for awhile. I'm going with yotes but dogs wouldn't shock me either.

I would think more than 2 coyotes, if that's what it was. A goat can turn into a big ball of pissed off horns, hooves and teeth pretty quick. That might be more than 2 coyotes would want to tangle with.

Had coyotes get 2 of my goats when I was younger. One wasn't recognizable as a goat and the other was injury free except half its head was eaten.
At least im assuming it was coyotes. We have a bunch around. Our 3rd goat, the smallest of the bunch was alive an uninjured

per my buddy, there are two dogs in the area with multiple complaints for killing livestock (per the AC officer). Owner always has them locked up when the AC officer goes by so they haven't been able to catch them running loose. Think hes gonna set up his game camera to see if the dogs are roaming on his place. If they are roaming his pastures, I doubt AC will need to be called.
