Let’s talk about your confidence bass lure. If you were gonna go out to a new body of water what lure do you feel most confident throwing?

I am transitioning from inshore to a landlocked area (unfortunately had to move from the coast). At this point a natural color Texas rig or casting jig with a natural color trailer what I feel most confident in. Work it like an inshore jig around cover looking for largemouths.

I look forward to the discussion, and people ripping on each other’s technique.

Zoom trick work pumkinseed, weightless.

Yum lizard black with red speckle, texas rigged.

And always some kind of topwater, either buzz bait or rebel pop-r.

Senko.

Although I don’t throw them as much anymore. I can’t think of another bait that will flat get a bite in any condition.

Watermelon Red baby brush hog is a damn good option but I'd probably go with a white or silver head jig with a blue and white jig and a gold spinner.

Chatterbait. Wouldn’t be a confidence bait in cold weather but in this coming weather, I’ll throw a chatterbait more than anything else.

Just go get a few bags of wacky worms and be done with it. Watermelon with a blue flake is what we caught them on this weekend.

They ain’t sexy. They ain’t exciting. But they work.

Spinner bait with willow leaf blade. Color, size, and etc are optional, but I haven’t used any other blade in 30 years. Get off my lawn.
