I love First lite fusion camo. Especially early season. It is nice quality for sure but their base layers are the best ive found. Id get the new updated sanctuary bib and jacket in fusion when its available and some merino base layers if your tree stand hunting.

I love the sitka fanatic set as well. I have it currently as my main cold weather set. its so warm that i just wear some base layers and the bib/jacket. not terribly bulky and warm that way.

Kuie makes outstanding gear. Vias is my fave pattern but it is kinda lackluster imo. The fit of Kuiu is geared more towards really fit mountain hunting types of bodies. The pockets on jackets are kinda high which isnt that comfortable. But it is extremely light and there are many layers to choose from to taylor your needs perfectly.

All of the above offer so so so many choices its hard to choose what you need and dont. If your just tree stand hunting id strongly suggest my set up

early season is First lite guide pants and aerowool tops in fusion

When it starts to cool off, depending on weather and wind I go with light merino wool layer and a mid/heavy layer for the top. and pant wise just add the furnace havy layer merino wool under the pants. If its really windy and cool just nice base layers and the sitka stratus set (which is just a wind barrier layer with no inuslation)

Really cold days i use the above mentioned fanatic set with base layers and its plenty. The things i love about the sitka is that the pockets are so well thought out its sets it apart. However i hate the elevated pattern. Just make sure your in an oak tree if you use it. It will stand out alot against a pine.

Im trying hard not to get the sanctuary from FL. Seems to be calling me though

I upgraded to almost all First Lite this year. I love their wool stuff.

I also have some Kuiu.

Most of it I bought used though, although most of that was barely used.

I've loaded the new Solitude set in my cart like 4 times over the last 2 days

Can't bring myself to pull this trigger this year with all the other shite I've already bought

just gotta be careful cleaning it. That's the only time I've gotten pin holes in it. Now I wash it and hang it to dry

I've been eyeing that one as well. My dad and brother both got the Sanctuary set last year. I think it'd be too much for how I hunt. From what I've read the Solitude set is pretty good for mobile whitetail. I'm going to be hunting Missouri in December this year and I've been thinking about how I freeze my arse off in north Mississippi every year. It's too damn tempting.

I buy the latest and most expensive Sitka gear I can find that combats the bitterly cold artic Louisiana air so I look like a real hunter to all my friends. Then climb into a boxstand where it makes no difference what I'm wearing and turn on Mr. Heater.

Gotta look the part baws

ETA: here’s what I typically wear

I have the Catalyst set right now. And with the Furnace base layer (and others if needed), that keeps me pretty warm down to the low 30s

I hunt MO in November every year though and some years its get cold as hell, so I'll need to upgrade eventually

I've been wearing the Cabela's wooltimate for about 7 or 8 years now. IDK if it's me getting old or what but I don't remember getting as cold as I do now. A desk job has made me soft I reckon.

I do a lot of hunting in South Texas so I usually role with GameGuard or Magellan from Academy for my shirts. As far as pants go, I'll throw on any pair of jeans and call it a day.

Midwest? Yeah I like my Sitka stuff but it isn't necessary

I was happy I had my Sitka gear in Kansas a couple of years ago. 2nd week of Nov, 2 degrees and snowing! I rarely wear it around home.

Solitude set

I ordered mine yesterday. I have the sanctuary set and I have sat with it in single digits with the wind blowing, no problems. I bought it in 2015 and it’s held up perfectly, no issues at all. But if you have to walk any kind of distance or climb with it, you will absolutely sweat. I got the solitude to be a little lighter, maybe I can walk with it if I need to. I hate getting dressed at the stand.
