So no on the Winchester SX4?

I got my kid a Franchi Affinity 20 gauge a couple of years ago and have been really pleased with it. Recently bought myself one in 12ga to try out duck hunting with. For $750 it is a hell of a deal imo

I have an SBE2 and an SX3 as my duck guns (have many others as shotguns of varying manufacturers). The vast, vast majority of the time I grab the SX3. I think it’s a better shooting, handling gun for me.

Only one duck gun I use...
7 inch mag, 4 ga. waterfowl widowmaker

I really like my Benelli Super Vinci for ducks. Fits me well and handles great.

I have this one and love it. There are many good duck guns though, just depends on what you're willing to spend. Personally, I don't like spending a ton of $ on a gun that will get thrown around in a boat.

I still shoot an original Super Black Eagle but I shot a Super Black Eagle 3 this spring and it was amazing. Definitely getting that as my next shotgun.

Between the three B's, Fabarm, and Winchester, pick one up, close your eyes and shoulder it. Open your eyes and the one that is lined up the best with your line of sight is the one that fits you best. That matters when the ducks start cupping down on your spread and you get all excited and stop thinking straight.
I have a Maxus in black and love it. You have to clean the gas piston every 3-4 boxes of shells, but they made it an easy 3 minute process with the way it partially breaks down.
Would avoid Remington until they get their QA/QC worked out.
if your budget is around $1000, look at the SX4 and A300 - cant go wrong
If higher budget then it really comes down to personal opinion and preferences

Asked the board this exact question about 5-6 years ago and got recommended heavily Beretta A300 outlander. I love the gun. I’ve beaten the shite out of it and she’s never failed to fire unless I fricked something up. It didn’t shoulder perfect out of the box, but after a couple small adjustments she fit fine.

did the A300 come with stock shims? amazing what a small adjustment can do.

I’m jumped on the SX3 train and haven’t looked back. I liked how it felt, fit and shouldered better than the A300. Been a great gun for me so far.

anti Winchester SX series. See and hear of way too many problems from not only people I know, but gunsmiths, and guides. stay away if you can. Youll be glad in the long run

I've had 0 issues with my SX3 other than when I tried to shoot some light lead loads. Other than that it's been a beast despite my lack of maintenance.

I would say that's a pretty big issue if you cant shoot light loads with it
