I know it's the Ford vs Chevy argument...but there has to be some sort of concensus, I've shouldered all the big ones including the 3 B's and even Stoegers. I liked the SX4 just as much as the A400 Extreme Plus...so help me

Depends on how you shoot and what your budget is.

I think you answered your own question. Its all about what YOU like and are comfortable with.

Can't go wrong with any of the big B's. Personally I shoot the Browning Maxus.

I guess I'm looking for what others shoot to see if there is some sort of concensus, since they all feel fine to me

And if you don't buy it, let me know where one is so I can.

I really liked the ergos of the Maxxus, but liked the Benelli SBE a little better, and was replacing a 16 year old SBE that I loved.

Don't overlook 3" guns.

I shoot a versa max its awesome. But I have an old 870 Wingmaster that is hard to beat problem is I don't want that gun getting dirty!! If I could find an old 12 ga. A5 I would buy it in 2 seconds and not think twice! By far the best duck gun ever made.

Interesting, I thought the one thing the OB agreed on was that the A5 wasn't a great gun...many complaints about inaccuracy out of the box and not reloading

I'm not talking about a new one. I'm talking about an old one that has been beat to hell and back but can still do laps around the guns of today!!!!

Get the Beretta or Benelli that fits your budget and shoulder the best.

I bought the sx3 almost 10 years ago. I haven't shot anything else since then.

This!

Have had the 3.5" beretta's and others......scaled back to a Benelli M2 (yes there are other Benelli's than the SBE's, who'd have thought?) and I'm loving it now three seasons on it.

Kill ducks and geese dead with 3" shells, just hadn't been using the 3.5's much

Just my 2 cents
