We reopened a forty acre on-base pond that is fed by two separate aqueducts from the Beaufort river. First day of fishing yielded many 26-28” specs, loads of reds, flounder, and black drum.
This girl measured 29 3/4”…didn’t even extend the arms! Guessing she’s 10-11 lbs. Will bring a scale next time.

Here I am obsessively wasting an unreasonable amount of time trying to find a 5lb trout in LA and you smoke a 10lber in a pond lol. In all seriousness, that’s a great fish! Awesome job

Parris Island, about 10 miles from Fripp…we have the Corps’ best golf course too.

She was released. A Senior Drill Instructor caught her on a DOA Shrimp.
