Bad Boy Zero-Turns. Are they reliable?

I’ve had one for years and it’s been very reliable. Only issue I had was the button that raises and lowers the deck had to be replaced, but that was right after I bought it. No problems since then.

We are a BadBoy dealer and we sell far and away more BadBoy then our other brands. Now a lot of that is they’re a better price point to the comparable other brands. It’s like anything man made they can have issues, but they’re built well. 7 gauge welded steal decks, I’m not sure if you are looking at the ZT Elite or ZT Avenget, but both have big hydragears for their size, I’d get the Kawasaki engines, we see less of them come back. The ZT line is definitely our biggest sellers because they are a good price point, but have the serviceable hydragear. I’d recommend them for sure.

I've had a 60 ZT Avenger for 4 years. I've been good about routine maintenance (oil, filters, blades, plugs, etc.). It has worked like a champ. I mow about 6 acres each week in the high season. I should be better about about clearing debris but sometimes that takes too long and I end up going over it (within reason). Yet it has held up well (blades certainly dull more quickly). I don't have anything bad to say about it functionally and the routine maintenance is easy. I wish there was more shock absorption in the seat but I also realize my model is not a high grade model, and there may be after market upgrades available for the seat.

I plan to upgrade the mower next spring and use the old one for areas that are more prone to debris to help longevity on the new one.

DO NOT GET A 48” ZT ELITE

I know you said 60” but my 48” is HORRIBLY balanced and just spins the tires. Worst $$ I’ve ever spent on something and hate it.

Yep we sell mowers with Kawasaki, Kohler, Vanguard, Cxi Briggs, even had some Hondas, and the kawasakis have had the least problem.

It was between the Toro and the bad boy. Went with the toro bc I didn’t wanna deal with the bad boy dealer where I live. They treated me like shite while I was looking at them and it was a huge deal breaker. Toro been a great mower

I've had mine for right around 11 years. 72" Outlaw XP w/ Kawasaki engine. Like others have said, very solid mower. Routine maintenance done and only bigger maintenance I've done is spindle a few years back and also recently had to change fuel pump and carb. Cuts very well but I will agree that it is not as smooth of a ride as other mowers I've had (ill contribute that to the larger deck size and not purchasing the suspension seat). I have 12 acres but only mow about 8 of them with the badboy.

I will second this! Have had this same mower for about 7-8yrs at the camp and the only issue I have ever had was the rough arse ride.
