I hope they are reliable as i see the ZT Elite and Avenger only have 2 yr warranties.About 1-2 of what Gravely, JD and others have. Crazy to think something you will pay 5k+ for is only backed for 2 years.

I bought a Maverick HD earlier this year, it’s been great. I have a rough yard, the suspension and suspension seat and game changers. Kawi motor, hasn’t struggled yet in the thick stuff. I’d buy from a deal and get serviceable transmissions.

I have the zt elite with Kawasaki engine and 48” deck. Does great so far only owned it about a year so can’t really speak to reliability. The 6 gallon tank allows you to cut longer than you want to in one sitting that’s for sure.

Most all of them source their main parts for the some manufacturers - engine - transmission- spindles etc.

I have 2, an entry level commercial (60" Maverick with Kohler for 3.5 years) and an entry level residential (54" Magnum with Kawasaki for 5.5 years). I use one to cut 5 acres and the other for about an acre and half. I have beat the Magnum up pretty bad, but it keeps on ticking. love them both. They are well built and sturdy, but as many have said, go with the Kawasaki, there is ZERO comparisons.

Do some research. Compare the engines, the axle drives, wheels and tires, and the spindle bearing assemblies. The important stuff for reliability. Chances are the Bad Boy stuff is the same as the Scags, Hustler , etc. So at that point you are paying extra for the framing and deck difference, which is negligible, and the name.

My parents have one and cut a 5 acre lot with it. No issues in 3 years
